So I read one after another reviews trying to figure this out. The reviews for this cargo topper were good and the price was right so I just tried it this thanksgiving on a 915 mile trip from CA to WA through rain and snow. It rained on the return trip for 8 hrs heavy and there was only minimum dampness inside. It strapped to the top of my suv easily and has a nice soft bottom so it doesn't scratch at all. I am so happy with this purchse. Save yourself from reading hundreds of other reviews buy this cargo carrier!
